The Infinite Library

The infinite library is the field of all love and knowledge that connects us all.

This is a theory that began for me when I was 10 years old, lying in my bed unable to sleep but content to be awake, just quiet with my thoughts. In my imaginings, I saw a pool of light, not on the earthly ground but in a higher, more ethereal realm. A beautiful shimmering pool of light.

I imagined that when each being was born they would get a scoop from the pool of light. Throughout their lives, their choices and experiences would change the quality of their light and when they died it would be added back to the infinite pool. I imagined that it was our job to tend and grow our light.

Over the years this theory of mine has evolved. I have come to believe that we are connected to this field of light all the time, even if we aren’t aware of the connection.

And through these years I have found other similar theories. In Hinduism, this field of all existence is called by the name akasha. In science, it is called quantum physics. In quantum physics, it is sometimes called the holographic theory. In philosophy, it is talked about by Joseph Chilton Pierce and certainly others.

The infinite library is where all being and all time exists simultaneously. It is the infinite library of all love and knowledge. And we are each books in that library.

It is so ever present that it is easy not to notice that we are connected to this field as we go through each of our daily lives.

The wonderful thing about the infinite library is the more you notice that you are connected to it, the more connected you become.

Evidence of this connection can come in many forms. . . Being in exactly the right place at the right time. Finding exactly what you need when you need it. A sense of peace and calm. Wonderful waves of inspiration. Waves of the certainty of the connectedness of all beings. A deep understanding that love is the true currency of the world.

Whether these theories are true or just imaginings does not really matter. What does matter is what we each carry in our hearts, how we grow ourselves, and how we add to the world.

  1. Hello Aimee,

I admire this ideology. I have been pondering on this theme “the infinite library” for a while now.
Truly, there are lots of things all humans do share in common, that includes every race. We must open our hearts and connect our minds together to see this.

I believe yourinfinitelibrary will help us achieve an altruistic generation.

    1. Thank you Daniel for your words of wisdom. And thank you for being my inspiration; it is because of you that this website has come into existence. Hand in hand, arm in arm, we are connected across continents, across oceans.

  2. I really like what I am seeing here! I especially appreciate your acknowledgement that even if provisional things, such as extradimensional beings, non-human intelligence, etc., don’t exist, it is the practice of imagination that is the important exercise. Also, the human race might not possess the vocabulary to describe reality. Maybe this is a subject for a tiny talk? Keep up the good work!

    1. That’s a fascinating thought . . . Maybe if we don’t have the words, we’re blind to entire layers of reality. I hadn’t thought of it from that direction before.

And yes, the process of imagining is in itself real, on many levels. Science can even measure it on one physical level – our bodies experience our imaginings as real. Which all begs the question: what exists that science can’t yet measure?

Your comment has prompted titles of five new tiny talks. Nicely!
